BabyMatch™ is the most comprehensive security system for protecting infants
in maternity wards. The BabyMatch security system immediately alerts
hospital nursing staff in cases of abduction, mismatch and swapping events.
In a bid to comfort mothers and hospital staff, BabyMatch sets out to
protect infants through sophisticated baby and mother tags that provide an
efficient deterrent against potential security threats.
How BabyMatch works
The no-fuss management of baby safety is activated as soon as the mother gives birth: infant and mother are issued personalised tags that are pre-programmed to certify an identification match and keep track of the infant’s exact location. The baby tag is worn around the ankle, while the mother’s tag is worn on the wrist. Each tag sends signals that are transmitted to ceiling-mounted readers and then processed by a server.
Security
BabyMatch monitors infants whereabouts in real-time and alerts when:
- an attempt is made to tamper with a baby’s tag;
- baby is missing;
- baby is in an unauthorized zone.
BabyMatch can also be customised to activate audio-visual alarms and other
security and communication systems.
